Gold is found in deposits such as:
- Porphyry
- Epithermal
- Mesothermal and more.
Each deposit type has a different mix of elements, linked to mine size, mining methods and overall investment.
In general, a worthy vein gold deposit:
Must
- grades in range for deposit type and suitable extraction method
- hundreds of meters in vein direction
- continuous grades in veins
Ideally
- intersections start near surface ~100m
- several km in strike lengths
- open at depth
